Due to the expropriation of our facility at 9 Banigan Drive by Metrolinx, we are no longer able to operate at that location. While this unexpected disruption was not of our choosing, our team has responded with resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve.
Our current programming is based primarily out of the gym at The Study Academy, located at 20 Glebe Road East (Glebe Road United Church). This location serves as our Athletic Development & Sport Campus, hosting evening and weekend programs for children from JK through Grade 12.
Over the past year, The Church of the Transfiguration also generously welcomed us and provided a temporary home for our Midtown Movement Education Centre. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity and for the warmth and support they extended to our children, families, and team. Unfortunately, the amount of time and space available for the upcoming term is not sufficient for us to continue operating our weekday morning programming there.
As a result, our FunFit Gymn Jr. program will be temporarily placed on hold while we continue to search for an appropriate space. FunFit Gymn Jr. has not been discontinued, and our intention is to bring it back when we are able to secure a location that allows us to deliver the program to the standard our families expect.
We’re pleased to share that we are still able to offer the majority of our programs, though on a reduced scale. While our current facilities do not allow us to accommodate the same volume of students as in previous years, smaller groups also provide an opportunity for more focused, hands-on attention from our senior team members. We remain committed to what we do best—developing meaningful connections and helping each child grow through movement.
That said, the reduced capacity of our temporary facilities continues to limit some of the programming and registration opportunities we are able to offer. At this time, we are also unable to operate our Athletic Development & Bodywork (AD&B) program or Birthday Parties, and availability in certain other programs may remain limited.
Our team continues to explore opportunities to expand programming at our existing location and secure additional space so that we can restore more of our programs and welcome additional children and families.
We’ll continue to provide updates through our newsletter.
Thank you for your continued trust and patience as we navigate this transition.
We want all of our students to feel comfortable inside the gym. Although we don’t have a strict dress code for our female athletes, we recommend that they wear a gymnastics leotard with a pair of shorts on top. However, a pair of shorts and a well-fitted t-shirt will do just fine!
We recommend that our male athletes wear sport shorts and a well-fitted t-shirt.
All students train barefoot inside the gym allowing for maximum traction on the equipment.
Students are not allowed to wear jewelry during practice. Long hair must be tied back with soft accessories.
