D4S Cheer is where dedication, discipline, and development meet the dynamic world of cheerleading. Our program is designed to nurture young athletes through structured, purposeful coaching — building confidence, capability, and a genuine love of the sport in every session. Whether your child is discovering cheerleading for the first time or training toward competition, there is a place for them here.
Our periodic Cheer Journey Check-Ins keep you closely connected to your child’s progress — a personal conversation about what they have achieved, what they are working toward, and what comes next.
We’re excited to share that our D4S Cheer Program will continue to operate out of the gym at The Study Academy — 20 Glebe Road East (Glebe Road United Church) as we transition to our future home.
DEVELOPMENTAL CHEER
D4S Developmental Cheer is where a cheerleader is made. Not through repetition alone, but through deliberate, structured coaching that builds real skill across every discipline — motion technique, tumbling, jumps, stunts, and choreography — in every single session. Every athlete on the floor is coached with the same intention and the same standard, regardless of where they are in their development.
The curriculum covers the full range of cheerleading fundamentals: precise motion technique (hand, arm, and body positions), tumbling progressions, jumps, entry-level stunt technique with an emphasis on safety, and individual choreography. Classes run in age-appropriate groups for Juniors (ages 6–8) and Seniors (ages 9–12), each 90 minutes in length. Families may register for one or two classes per week — athletes who train twice weekly consistently show faster development, and many of our families choose to do exactly that.
The one prerequisite is a cartwheel — not because we are selective, but because it represents the foundational body control and spatial awareness that allows a child to train safely and progress confidently from day one.
Class times and registration are in the table below. If you have any questions before registering, we are always happy to hear from you.

HIGH PERFORMANCE CHEER
D4S High Performance Cheer is the pre-competitive pathway for athletes who are ready to train at a higher level of intensity and commitment. HP athletes train in the same sessions as DC — building across the same disciplines of motion technique, tumbling, jumps, stunts, and choreography — but with the focus, frequency, and standard that competitive preparation demands. The bar is higher, and the athletes here have chosen to meet it.
The curriculum deepens every fundamental: competition-standard motion sharpness, advanced tumbling progressions, performance-quality jumps, competition-level stunt technique, and full competitive choreography. HP athletes train both Monday and Wednesday — consistent attendance is essential to routine readiness and the integrity of the team.
High Performance is a meaningful commitment for the whole family, and we take that seriously. Before extending an invitation, we have an honest, personal conversation with families about what the program requires — not to discourage, but to make sure every family who joins is set up to thrive.
If you believe your child may be ready and haven’t yet heard from us, we’d love to hear from you. Ask us if your child is ready.
